Oxford Urbanists – LA.Network publication series

Does your work involve urban or infrastructure development issues in Latin America? Do you have ideas or stories you’d like to share with a widely-read media platform and/or academic circles, including at the University of Oxford? If so, consider writing for the new Oxford Urbanists/LA.Network publication series!

LA.Network is a Colombia-based online publication, which aims to function as a knowledge bank for Latin American cities’ efforts to implement the New Urban Agenda and become more sustainable.

The Oxford Urbanists, based at the University of Oxford, tackle contemporary urban challenges with innovative solutions through interdisciplinary, global collaboration. (See previous Urbanists publications here.)

Every month, LA.Network and the Oxford Urbanists co-publish 2-4 articles on issues relating to urban and infrastructure development issues in Latin America. These typically take the form of opinion-editorials, research briefs, or news stories ranging from 750-2,500 words.

We also publish interviews of specialist researchers on relevant topics (1,000 words minimum).

If interested, please read the Urbanist’s general pitch guidelines for more detail on the types of contributions we’re seeking and then send a short note to Luciano Rodriguez, the Urbanists’ Latin America Coordinator:*

*Please note: we are not accepting working papers for the Urbanists/LA Network publication series. If interested in submitting a working paper for the Urbanists’ other publication streams, please send an e-mail to
